It won’t be long now!
Decatur’s famous – or infamous – roundabout is “getting very, very close” to opening, Operations Manager Jeremy Gilbert told city council Tuesday night.
A progress meeting is set for Thursday, bringing together all factions involved in the project, Gilbert said.
“So stay tuned,” he added.

Landscaping in the area was to be finished Tuesday or Wednesday of this week, and light poles were about to go up.
The $2.5 million project is now in its fourth month, having begun the first week in June.
E&B Paving of Muncie is the general contractor
Last July 6 marked one year since the City of Decatur and INDOT officials signed all the necessary papers and made the project official.
The work is being overseen by the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and mostly funded by the federal government.
