The Decatur Chamber’s Summer Concert Series headed into its final month Thursday with another huge crowd turning out on a hot night to partake of some hot music.
Crush: The Bon Jovi Concert Experience brought all of Jon’s best stuff for the first concert in August, with just three left in the 2025 season.

Temperatures in the high 80s were no apparent deterrent as the Madison St. Plaza was packed.
Nor was it a deterrent to dancing, which began early on.
The Crush band, headed by lead vocalist Doug Shepard, who bears a striking resemblance to Jon Bon Jovi, made its second appearance in Decatur, having performed for last year’ rain-plagued Fourth of July celebration.

The Bon Jovi tribute band was formed in 2019 and features, along with Shepard, Andrew “Drew” Goodpaster on guitar, Brian Barchman on drums, Robin Altmeyer on bass, Chip McGurer on keys, and Anna Martinez Shepard on backing vocals, percussion and violin.
Making his second appearance on the plaza stage, a talented Bellmont High School senior, Paulie T. Morgan, overcame a wonky sound system to kick off the evening’s entertainment.

Crush has upcoming dates all around Indiana – Shelbyville, Anderson, Martinsville, Auburn – plus concerts in Fort Recovery and other Ohio communities
In November, the band goes south for dates in Florida.
