Local talent will provide an addition to the Decatur Chamber of Commerce’s summer concert series this year.
“We are looking to showcase our talented youth,” a Chamber statement explained.
Five “acts” have signed up already, according to city Community Coordinator Jamie Gephart. Each will perform during a concert intermission.
The opportunity is open to bands and one-person singing acts. High School and college-age participants qualify, the Chamber said.
Those interested may still apply; call Gephart, 724-7171, or contact her at jgehart@decaturin.org
The 2023 concert series on the Madison St. Plaza opens Thursday, June 1, with a performance by Hubie Ashcraft.
Ashcraft will appear twice on this year’s 14-concert series.
