Tammy Puteet and Alicia Sparks won the prize for the best entrant in this year’s Decatur Golf Cart Parade.

They received prizes from the Old 27 Ice Cream Shop, Famous Monster Pizza, and Double Eagle Clubhouse Grille.

Eight carts were entered in this year’s second annual event.
An entry fee of $20 was charged, with all proceeds going to the Mayor’s Youth Council.
The parade began at Riverside Center, traveled on the Greenway Trail, and wound up downtown, where voting on the carts was held as part of Decatur Main Street’s annual Downtown Decatur Day.
LITTLE MISS: Also part of the special day was the first Little Miss Decatur pageant.

Aallyah Thatcher, daughter of Jacob and Megan Thatcher was chosen as the recipient of the title.
A total of 13 “little misses” were entered in the contest.
