Another busy Saturday is coming up in downtown Decatur this week and, hopefully, Mother Nature will offer up much better weather than last week.
Decatur Main Street’s annual Downtown Decatur Day is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the second Golf Cart Parade slated to get rolling at 10 a.m.

The Downtown Day will feature all manner of activities, including visits with Cinderella and Superman, a magic show, a little miss pageant, face painting, bounce house, dunk tank and more.

Many of the events will be held on Madison St. between Second and Third streets, and some will be held on the plaza.
Following is the schedule:
10 a.m., announcements.
Razz M’ Jazz dancers, 10:15.
Golf cart voting, 10:30.
Little Miss Decatur pageant, 11.
Mudokwan demonstration, 12.
Meet Cinderella, 1-1:30.
Turns On 2nd dancers, 1:15.
Meet Spiderman, 1:30-2.
Magician Jim Barrow, 2.
Final announcements, door prize winners, car show announcements, 2:45-3.
RIDE ‘EM: Registration for the golf cart parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Riverside Center and the carts will begin rolling at 10.
Entry fee is $20 per cart, with all proceeds going to the Mayor’s Youth Council.
One or two golf carts will receive prizes. Adults will select their favorite cart and, in a separate vote, youngsters will pick their favorite.
The voting will be held at 10:30 a.m. downtown.
