Additional information was received from the Adams County Prosecutor’s office on the charges against Cordell White.

The alleged rape by White occurred on Monday, March 24th. White was charged by the prosecutor with:
- rape, a Level 1 felony
- sexual battery, a Level 4 felony
- strangulation, a Level 6 felony
The victim contacted local police on the morning of March 25th to report being raped. According to the probable cause affidavit, White “threatened her life by telling the victim that he was going to kill her” during intercourse.
The victim told local police that White was still in the home asleep and authorities went to the home, found White, and arrested him on the rape charges.
According to the report, police found not only White, but also a belt matching the strangulation marks on the victim’s neck, along with empty marijuana packages and a swing with handcuffs in the bedroom.
Police reported in the probable cause affidavit that White admitted to intercourse with the woman, “but said it was consensual.”
