Kenneth Anthony “Tony” Edwards, 44, of Decatur, IN, passed away as a result of a traffic accident in Mercer Co., Ohio on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Tony was born on August 29, 1980 in Vincennes, IN to Kenneth D. and Cathy A. (Roell) Edwards.
Tony was a 1999 graduate of Norwell High School. He was currently employed at Braun Ambulance in Van Wert and was a realtor for Prestige Realty in Decatur. He had also worked for Danfoss in Van Wert and Thunderbird in Decatur.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and was a Notre Dame Football fan. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion Adams Post 43 and the Indiana Association of Realtors.
Tony is survived by his parents, Doug and Cathy Edwards of Ft. Wayne; his wife, Nicole Gage of Decatur; his 4 daughters, Makynna Gage, Andersen Edwards and Skyla Gage all of Decatur and Kenlee Edwards of Coldwater, MI, a brother, Richard Douglas Edwards of Ft. Wayne; maternal grandmother, Betty Roell of West Harrison, IN; paternal grandmother, Margie Edwards of Lafayette, IN.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Earl Roell and paternal grandfather, Kenneth L. Edwards.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 and from 10:30 – 11:30 on Thursday at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 on Thursday, September 12, 2024 also at the funeral home with Preston Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in Yaggy Cemetery in rural Grabill, IN.
