Popular military veterans banners now hang throughout the downtown Decatur area, and the latest addition to downtown are directional, or wayfinding, signs.
Decatur Main Street’s project will see six signs such as the one shown, and more may be coming, a city official told WZBD.com.

The signs have “been in the works for sometime,” the official said, and became a reality through a grant from the Adams County Community Foundation.
They are designed to help visitors from out of town find places such as the library, City Hall, the Madison St. Plaza, county offices, parking areas, various streets, and more.
The signs are the result of a collaboration of Decatur Main Street, the city, the Chamber of Commerce, the city’s redevelopment commission and the foundation.
The city street department erects the signs.
